Dr. Larry Lines is the Head of the Dept. of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Calgary and is Chief Geophysicist with Global Harmonics Consulting. His career includes 17 years with Amoco Production Company, 4 years as the Chair in Applied Seismology at Memorial University of Newfoundland, and 5 years as Chair in Exploration Geophysics at the University of Calgary. He served SEG as Editor of Geophysics, Distinguished Lecturer, Chairman of SEG Publications Committee, and has served on many of their committees. His career has involved both the theory and applications of geophysical imaging and inversion.
