Dr. Dahlberg earned degrees in Geology, Sedimentary Petrology and Geochemical Exploration from Williams College and The Pennsylvania State University in 1961, 1964, and 1967. He has been active as a visiting professor at several North American Universities. Since 1979 he has been an independent petroleum geologist/consultant in Calgary during which time he has developed and marketed numerous exploration prospects and plays, initiated several regional multiclient oil and gas studies for both major and junior oil companies, completed over three-dozen petroleum hydrogeology projects in regions as diverse as Chad, Africa and the North Sea. He is an acknowledged worldwide expert in this field and is the author of "Applied Hydrodynamics in Petroleum Exploration" published by Springer-Valag in 1982 with an increased second edition published in 1994. He has presented over 295 professional short courses to members of the domestic and overseas petroleum industries.
